There's a lot of higher end Chinese restaurants now in NOVA, like Peter Chang's and Mama Chang's, but sometimes you just want the normal American Chinese food, well this is the spot. Looks like the husband and wife run the restaurant and their hospitality is top of the line, it feels like your walking into a family dinner. The service was great and laid back. I did not feel rushed at all. The food was great and came out correctly. Not greasy, not too sweet, and fresh ingredients. Thank You Cheng's we will be back again.

Great Chinese food and friendly service!

We visited on a Sunday evening, and the place was quite empty—felt like the only other diners were the owners. We ordered the fried eggplant and fried tofu in Kung Pao with peanut sauce, and both dishes were outstanding. I was hesitant about the eggplant, but it turned out to be a must-try!

The place is small and a bit dark, but the food is so good, you’ve got to try it!

We tried Cheng’s today for the lunch. Seems like a nice sit down family owned restaurant. It was clean. The service is excellent, super sweet and quick. The food tastes clean and everything we ordered was delicious and fresh! Would recommend and will be back again.

The food was really great!! Really tasty walnut shrimp, kung pao, and general tso. The young server seemed very over it, and didn’t want to be bothered, but when we paid, a lady was extremely kind in thanking us. I’ll be back, but maybe just for takeout. We went for lunch, and the lights were off and there’s no music, so it felt a little weird inside. I’m happy to support the local business.

Amazing food, the beef and fish are super tender and the vegetables cooked and seasoned very well. The restaurant owner personally checks on every customer, and makes sure to come back a second time to personally check on the food. Will also personally make a dish for you if you ask. After ordering a few dishes, he will actually let you know if it is enough food and will not push you to order more, very mindful! Some of the best authentic Chinese food I've had!

Cheng's service was very good. They were able to customize two of their recipes to our liking. They have many relatively unique dishes and I would like to return to try more fare from their talented kitchen.

Great place for real Chinese food. Very happy we found it. We got the hot and sour soup, vegetable triple delight, and shredded pork in garlic sauce (sounds better in Chinese). All are recommended.

You cannot sleep on the awesome chicken trio peppers dish!!! It is SO good. We also love pepper steak, sesame beef, wrinkled string bean, and sauteed mixed veggies with the white garlic sauce. Very old school look and feel to the place but the dishes are solid! The only dish I haven't liked is the szechuan spicy beef noodle soup. It was too oily and the star anise flavor was a bit too overpowering for my liking,
