The multiple purchases I have made from this furniture shop have been smooth and very communicative with the staff. Dodd's has some great deals compared to its other competitors Victoria. I got a sofa bed that was on final sale totalling just below one grand, and they had huge discounts on mattresses the last time I visited. Plus they even offered free pillows too, with the purchase.

The store is very large and spacious, with 2 floors worth of browsing and a basement with final price items. The staff are very engaging with their customers, and offered us coffee and tea while we waited for our purchase. I'd definitely come here again for my future furniture needs, and recommend Dodd's!

We bought a bedroom set and reclining sofa from Dodds and love them. The price was great considering the quality of what we got and the service was helpful without being pushy.

Also kudos to the delivery team (Adarsh and I didn't get the other guy's name) for getting everything upstairs and put together, and they took back the packaging. Top marks.

Last July we ordered a live edge table, bench, and chairs. While the table and chairs were available immediately, the bench was not. We were assured it would arrive in the fall. When it didn’t arrive when expected, we were told it would arrive in November. When it didn’t arrive in November, we were told it would arrive in January. We were offered a loaner bench to have over the holidays, which we appreciated. But despite my repeated follow up inquiries, nobody from Dodd’s ever connected with us to complete the offer they initiated, and we never got a loaner item. And now it is end of January and we still don’t have the expensive item we paid for in full. They’ve held our money for six months without delivery and without good communication to keep us updated on the wait and reassure us we will get what we paid for. I am surprised to receive such a poor level of customer service from Dodd’s, when they have previously been good to us. I cannot recommend Dodd’s and I would encourage anyone planning to order from them to consider another company who will actually fulfill their orders.

This was one of the most horrible experiences ever shopping for furniture. We were shopping for a new bedroom set and the salesman relentlessly followed us telling us all the sales and saying you better do this now before the sales over. We were not sure if we were gonna go with the item And then he saw us leaving and said you better put 25% deposit on this so that you don’t lose it. That’s when I said yep we’re never buying here again and headed to the door. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

I recently had a great experience with Dodds as a sectional I bought was defective. They were quick to address the issue and offered me a great deal on a replacement of my choice. They were fast, efficient and most importantly seemed to care about me as a customer. Anil was great when I went in to do the exchange and I appreciate him trying to get my new sectional to me as soon as possible! Thanks to Brian as well for addressing my concerns and supporting me in getting a great sectional.

Beware of Warrenty package promises! Loved our couch, but we made the mistake of purchasing the Guardsman package (because of the pet protection). Our dog went to town on our sofa while we were away (pics below, and is stated as covered in the wordings) but they denied on our claim - They called this "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" LMFAO. After 3 months of back and forth with the Guardsman company they now brushed us off with a flat denial - even though salesmen will promise you that these events are covered. Beware. DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY THEY WILL DO THE TYPICAL INSURANCE BRUSH OFF.

This review is specifically about our experience with sales consultant, Denis.

My husband and I made the decision to treat ourselves to a king size bed for our new home after our wedding this summer. We looked around at a few stores, but Dodd's stuck out as Denis had given us wonderful support. We had many questions about different mattresses and bedframes, and he was patient and knowledgeable. We never felt pressured to make a purchase or like we were wasting his time, as we have experienced elsewhere.

We returned to Denis a month later to pick out a chest for our bedroom. We arrived to the store close to closing time, and he did not rush us and was thoughtful about the options we could consider. He gave us his cell phone number so we could think about it overnight and let him know our choice the next day, even though it would be his day off.

Although we had a number stressful experiences on the delivery day due to a team of inexperienced movers, including our chest becoming broken, Denis was able to get call in support for the movers. He was on the phone with us and the warehouse throughout the afternoon, even though this is not his domain. He was also able to get a replacement for our chest from the Nanaimo store and arranged the delivery for that.

We highly recommend working with Denis to anyone interested in shopping at Dodd's. You will undoubtedly be taken care of throughout the entire duration of your experience without feeling pressured or rushed. He is an absolute professional, and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
