I was going to do an elective spider vein treatment on both ankles. The Dr office requested I prepay $1,200 for procedure I booked out a few months in advance.

Couple weeks after making the payment, I had to cancel and requested a full refund as I broke my leg. It’s been 5 weeks and still no refund. I was informed “checks in the mail” a couple weeks ago. It’s very frustrating to say the least. I shouldn’t have to continue calling for status.

I see all the 5 star reviews for Dr. Gonzalez and it makes me sad because that was not my experience. Maybe he had more patience a few years ago? I saw him twice, and the experience I had is that he barely gave me more than 5 minutes of his time before he was standing up and walking out of the door literally in the middle of my questions. When I was trying to ask questions and stated that something didn’t make sense to me, his response was “well it makes sense to me”. He didn’t bother to ask questions about my past history concerning what other types of treatments I’ve already tried that were unsuccessful, and recommended things just based off his visual impression of me. When I told him that I had already attempted the solutions he was suggesting, as they had been given to me by other doctors in the past, he was dismissive and said I must’ve been doing them wrong. He recommended I see a dietitian, which is actually good advice, yet didn’t provide me with any referrals, names of actual dietitians, or directions of how to find one, so not very helpful in the long run. He also sold me a pair of compression stockings through his office, which started deteriorating within a week (the stitching at the top of the stockings started coming undone). Last straw was when I had a simple request for a refill on a medicated cream, and he was once again dismissive and said I could get it over the counter and didn’t need a prescription. Even though I questioned it multiple times, he maintained his position. Well, I got to the pharmacy and I was in fact correct, I could only get the cream with a prescription. Thankfully his office staff is very sweet and helpful, and they fixed the problem immediately (no apology from the Dr. except a half-baked one passed through his staff). The only reason I’m even giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the professionalism and kindness from the rest of the staff. But as for Dr. Gonzalez, I do not plan to seek services with him again.

I arrived at the office and was greeted by the smiling face behind the front desk. I checked in and waited for only a few minutes when I was asked to come back to the examination room. Dr. Gonzalez came in and was amazing. He started the evaluation by asking me to tell him why I was there and how he could help me. I told him what was bothering me and hoped that he could help. Dr. Gonzalez is very passionate and very knowledgeable about what he does and he gave me a complete evaluation of the veins in my lower legs. He explained what causes varicose and spider veins and gave me the different treatment options for each. They did an ultrasound to confirm the deep vein issues and although that would be a treatment on another visit, he and his nurse Joan treated my spider veins. The treatment is amazing!! a very slight needle stick into the spider vein and a small injection, and I literally watched the veins close down and go away! She made multiple painless sticks and small injections around my ankle and up my lower leg. They gave me compression stockings to wear and I left the office. It's been 4 days post procedure and I took the stockings off to see the healing.. my spider veins are literally gone!! I have more treatments ahead but wow what a difference already! My only regret is that I didn't have this done earlier.. thank you Dr. Gonzalez and your amazing staff! see you again soon.

I've recieved my first session of schlerotherapy from this place and my next one is soon! They did a ultrasound on my legs prior to make sure it was safe to continue which made me feel much more comfortable about getting it done. I had first went to a dermatologist before I went to this place who didnt offer the ultrasound so I opted out but I was referred by a good friend to come here and I'm glad I did. The staff is very nice and the girl who did my injections made me feel so relaxed and she talked to me as she did it. I would definitely recommend this place !
