Definitely hire H is for Homes! Chris and Heidi are amazing. They did a huge home reno project for us over the course of several months and it was such a positive experience. They are extremely skilled, extremely easy to work with, and they finished everything on time!! We redid the kitchen and one bathroom and I didn't use a designer, so Chris and Heidi were great about problem solving with me when unexpected challenges or options arose. I will honestly miss collaborating with them now that the projects are done.
For our kitchen they removed a bulkhead, installed new drywall and insulation, installed new hardwood floors, installed our cabinets and appliances, and fixed a plumbing issue.
For our bathroom they did a full gut -- new drywall & insulation; new shower tile, waterproofing, and niches; new tile flooring; new vanity and lighting.
They also installed drywall and hardwood floors in another room of our house, not pictured.
The quality of their work is top tier and I will definitely contract them again for future home projects!

I am both honored and excited to write the first review for H Is for Homes! This crew does it all, and they do it exquisitely. Now that our project is done, I can say with confidence that anything that needs done, I want them to do it. It’s that simple.

Plumbing, flooring, tiling (oh the tile work!), electrical, carpentry, painting, and even handy work. Plus, what everyone wants to know, the cost was fair and reasonable. But more so, the value of the finished results far outweighs the cost!

As for Heidi and Chris, they are a pleasant, professional team, and we really enjoyed having them in our home. They also paid close attention to the requests we made for our pets (even let our pup out to potty if we hadn’t been home all day)! They are just really great humans.

Onto the type and quality of their work: They started with installing our floor, and folks, it’s actually unreal the effort they put in to make the floor look like it had come with the home itself. This included raising a drain and leveling part of our laundry room floor. The grout lines were perfectly placed and the floor ran smoothly from one room to another. The work they did to cut around existing HVAC, stairs and Radon pipes was far beyond what my wife and I expected. They cared about every single detail like it was being installed for a King. See photos!

They moved onto painting (which was always done with care and caution, and always finished with clean lines). Then, they moved to building a new bathroom from 4 bare walls and a hole in the floor (where the exquisite tile work came in), then to building bulkheads and redoing wiring, installing and changing out light fixtures, outlets and switches, resurfacing our stair treads and risers (each to a perfect fit and perfectly aligned), reorganizing our laundry room set up and building and installing a new utility sink, and finally doing the finishing touches which included installing decorative shelves, mirrors, base and crown molding, paint touch ups with every color, installing a new fireplace cover, a new kitchen faucet, new doors and hardware (oh and every door closes easily and perfectly) and even finished building a Murphy bed for us (for which we threw in a little extra). Everything finished with square corners and clean lines. They even did a great job cleaning up after the project concluded.

Point of all of this? To say they themselves, and the quality and value of their work is top notch, world-class.

We obviously want them to win your business, but not so much so that we can’t have them back when we need them again! We’re already discussing our next batch of projects to include a screened in porch, building a wet bar, tiling/putting a facade on our fireplace, and more. We couldn’t speak more highly of this team and company, and hope this review helps answer your question as to whether or not they are the right contractor for you.

Heidi and Chris recently replaced our kitchen floor and did an excellent job. We've had a string of contractors fail to call us back or show up for quotes... but H is for Homes came right out to quote and were very communicative. They were transparent about each step of the project, were on time every day, and did really high quality work. We love the new floor! A bonus is how friendly they are! We will definitely use them for future projects and can't recommend them enough.

We have never had a contractor go above and beyond like this before . We had a small bathroom remodeled taking out a tub and replacing with a walk in shower plus all of our additional requests . Heidi and Chris were amazing to work with , they were always available to talk to and answer all of our questions . We have never worked with contractors who went above and beyond for us like this before .They knew we only had one bathroom and worked with our schedule to have it completed within a week . Not too many people are going to work an 18 hour day for you .We would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor . I recently had the pleasure of working with H is for Homes to tackle a project that seemed almost impossible: adding a dishwasher to a small and old kitchen that lacked the necessary space. In fact, I had other contractors turn down the project. It required not only creating the physical space for the dishwasher, but also ensuring that the countertop was properly supported and seamlessly integrated. H is for Homes not only agreed to help, but provided custom solutions (which was a pleasant contrast from the cookie-cutter "solutions" I was running into). I am extremely happy with the end result. The new dishwasher fits naturally into the space – it feels like it has always been there. The countertop is sturdy and the added support pieces are concealed, maintaining the overall aesthetic of the kitchen. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was truly impressive.
