Overpriced!

I recently visited the ReStore branch in Chilliwack and noticed a Ridgid power tool that initially seemed reasonably priced. However, when I returned the next day during their end-of-month sale, I was surprised that the price had increased significantly, from $20 to $60 or a 200% "jack-up". This change caught my attention, and I began to question the pricing strategy of this branch.

As someone familiar with Ridgid tools, I know that purchasing from authorized retailers like Home Depot provides a lifetime warranty (aka Lifetime Service Agreement or LSA) if registered within 90 days. The latest model at Home Depot is priced at $98 during the sale, which includes this lifetime warranty. While the $60 price at ReStore might deter those aware of the warranty benefits, it could still be a good option for those looking for a quick purchase without comparing prices elsewhere.

The branch should consider more transparent pricing practices and recheck its business ethics. Despite this experience, I think they may still offer a few good deals for customers who don’t have the time to shop around or not familiar with the products in ReStore. I would encourage others to visit and make their assessments.

Tons of selection new and used! Some great deals to be found but you do have to know your prices as with anything! We found some excellent deals and the service was above and beyond! we will for sure be back next time we visit the area!

My grandpa got reemed out by Deb W for “haggling”. Asked a simple question and she was very rude in response.
Highly overpriced considering they get everything donated.

I love this business, and all that they do to help families. This store gas A LOT of items in it, big selection of everything and anything. Giving only 3 stars because I find the Chilliwack store to be very expensive - compared to other Restores locations.

Amazing place to shop! I bought some garden furniture pieces that were brand new and fit my patio perfectly (a couch, firepit, table and lighting). They were from some of my favourite stores, that I couldn't afford otherwise. Also got a second hand BBQ that was in great condition. Nice knowing that shopping here supports a good cause.

You can do better on Facebook Marketplace or any other used site rather than entertaining this corporation.

From what I've seen so far the majority of people writing here are all complaining about how they're gouging people on stuff that's all been donated and then written off by other corporations.

As they say buyer beware and this place is one of those definite times that the buyer needs to be aware and do your due diligence as to their pricing. They're asking damn near retail prices for stuff that's been returned and damaged from either Home Depot or Lowe's, in fact their prices are higher than products that you can get from Lowe's or Home Depot in their store that's been marked for clearance.

They're saying that they're doing justice to this charity which is an absolute joke. Value Village was taken to court over their so-called diabetes charity in the US.
