Great, hot, fresh food. Authentically prepared. Old school atmosphere. Over the last few years, this place changed hands and took a beating from reviewers. All I know is I've continued to come throughout their transition and today at lunch was the best I've had. Accept their niche and you'll agree that they earn about 5 stars. Massive takeout biz sometimes gets in the way of the dining room, but not today at lunch. Oh, and the lunch specials are bountiful and served till 3pm. Beef Almond Ding, Fried rice, H&S soup included. Worth adding a traditional egg roll. Prepared, seasoned and rolled perfectly. I'm a sucker for pot stickers and the fried didn't disappoint either. I'll come again... Before 3:00, and enjoy a feast.

After three years, I returned to this restaurant. If the service was terrible then, it is dramatic now. The waitress serving me and the kid not only speaks very little English and didn't understand the order, which is why she simply made a mistake, but the stupidest thing is that since she brought something different, she offers it to me so that I can eat it... that's comedy. And the best part is the ending when, when presenting me the bill, the staff is so pushy about the tip that it makes me feel uncomfortable. For heaven's sake, who works there?
As for the food, it is not of the same quality as before, and to be honest, I am erasing these restaurants from my list, and I really like Chinese cuisine, but definitely not here anymore.

We last went here on a Friday evening at 6 pm. It was not crowded, and we were seated immediately.
Service was very good, and the food was excellent!
I had hot sour soup, egg roll and teriyaki beef with white rice.
My partner ordered orange chicken (not spicy).
The food delivered was hot, fresh, and tasty.
Prices were very reasonable (about $25 per person, including a generous tip).
I have known this restaurant since it had opened originally on the north side of downtown Mount Prospect, by a gentleman named Henry (I believe he was from Taiwan). Several years later, he sold the restaurant to focus on his importing business.
I come back to this place each year, and I am never disappointed. This place has the best Chinese food in the northwest suburbs!

A good restaurant at reasonable price...they have a wide range of food options...their service is ok..there was no wait time..they served the food pretty fast...the portion size of the food is really good ...1 appetizer serves 2-3 people..and 1 entrée is sufficient for 3 people....but somehow the temperature of the food was not hot/warm enough when they served it.. that's why i gave 4 star..otherwise everything was fine..

One of our favorite restaurants serving not only Chinese food but Filipino foods as well. The dining area is clean, well lighted and social distancing observed.
The foods were amazing, freshly prepared and with a nice presentation. Waiting time from ordering to serving was about 15 minutes. Portion sizes are big and pricing was just right.
*Tofu with peapods, Salt & Pepper Shrimps and Sesame chicken are a big hit with us.

Today we ordered moo goo Gail pan but some how it not what we order in the past. We ordered it and I was looking forward to eating it for dinner but they messed up my dinner because that’s not what it is. I looked at the menu when I looked at my food on my stepfather, picked it up. The description is even right. I don’t know who made this menu, but they should be fired. I’m sorry you can’t change your menu item and then expect people not to get mad I am including a photo I took of the food and a photo of what the food supposed to look like on the Internet. The first photo is from the restaurant that is not moo goo Gail pan. The second photo is what it’s supposed to be. There’s a big difference between what they are serving as moo goo Gail pan and and what it’s supposed to be. The Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken is great. They usually are great but I don’t know who messed up this moo goo Gail pan.
