Had been looking for a recliner chair and found the perfect model and colour at J Ballam Furniture. Their showroom has multiple makes and models that I’m sure will meet your preferences. The staff were very helpful and walked us through the chair options and features without high pressure sales pitches. Our custom chair arrived sooner than expected which was a great surprise again proving we purchased from a top notch locally owned company. I had a last-minute delivery request that was supposed to take two days, but the owner went above and beyond to make it happen the same day. On top of that, their prices were the best compared to other stores I visited. Great furniture, excellent service, and fantastic discounts. Highly recommend this store!

We just finished a total renovation of our home. We literally ended up replacing all of our furniture as well. We originally stopped into J Ballam Furniture to look at and try out a couple of La-Z-Boy power recliners. We had no idea that they carried literally everything that we needed. Their customer service is second to none. This is what customer service used to be like several decades ago. It was truly an enjoyable experience. It was obvious from the start that the staff at this store really cared about their customers. Our drop-in to look at a couple of recliners ended up resulting in several trips back. We never once felt rushed or pressured. Not only were all of our questions answered, the staff brought up things that we had never thought of. They have tons of stock on hand which is very important. Being able to physically sit in a chair, recliner or try out a bed is very important. Seeing a picture online does not really paint the true picture. The chairs we originally went in to purchase ended up not being the ones we bought. Being able to try out many different power recliners and love seats made it much easier to decide on which had the best fit and feel. We ended up trying and liking their classic plus 2.0 pure energy beds. Jim encouraged us to stop by as often as we wanted to, to try out the bed. We ended up getting two twin xl mattresses with the pinnacle deluxe bases with all of the options. We have them set up as a king size bed. We are extremely happy with these beds. The fact that they are fully remote adjustable means comfort. Since we have had the beds, we have made it a daily goal to lie down and put the end of the bed up as far as it goes. Doing so for 20 minutes a day has really improved swelling I have in my right lower leg. The bed has a zero gravity setting that is amazing. If you have never tried these beds, we encourage you to stop in and try them. Sleep is important and these beds have definitely improved our sleep quantity and quality. The staff were so helpful picking out furniture colors that would complement each other. They even let us bring home a couple of different bar stools to try out at our kitchen island. We have had the furniture for 2 months now and can honestly speak to the quality of La-Z-Boy products, Pure Energy Beds and Amisco stools. The bedroom sets, end tables, coffee tables etc are all quality products. Once all of the items were in, the items were delivered and set up by Calvin and Joe. We were very nervous as our home was just renovated and worried about damage. Both Calvin and Joe went the extra mile taking care not to damage the floor, walls etc. They were very polite and friendly and insisted on everything being perfect before leaving. A big thank you to both of them for the extra time and care they put into setting everything up for us. If you are thinking of upgrading your current furniture and getting high quality items that will last, we highly recommend J Ballam Furniture and its outstanding staff. You will not be disappointed by their genuine caring attitudes and product knowledge. A big thank you goes out to Jim, Ryan and Lorena for all of your help over our many visits. We both appreciate all of your time, help and knowledge. Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK!!

Fantastic service! I went into J Ballam Furniture this weekend to purchase a Lay-Z-Boy recliner and it was the best furniture-buying experience I've ever had. The staff were warm and welcoming. They invited us to sit in as many chairs as possible and left us alone to peruse the showroom. When I had questions about specific chairs Jim was on hand with tips about fit and the different options available. When I asked about getting a chair quickly Jim was able to accommodate with delivery just two days later. The whole experience was low pressure, high service and left me confident that I had purchased a chair that would be comfortable and stylish for years to come. Today the delivery guys arrived early and had my new chair in the old chair out in minutes. The whole experience was as comfortable as this new recliner. Highly, highly recommend this team!

Went all around town looking and J. Ballam had the best selection and service. The quality is excellent. We purchased a leather sectional to replace an existing set and leather recliners for a different area of the house. Recliners delivered yesterday and delivery service was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to getting the sectional next week.
Highly recommend J. Ballam. Experienced, long-standing, business and the owner and team are very knowledgeable on what works best for your needs.

We had a really good experience shopping here. We purchased a bed and a very high quality pull-out hide-a-bed sofa. The hide-a-bed was quite expensive, so we went back to the store several times to look at it, ask questions, etc. Every time they were so friendly and helpful, let us take our time, and were not pushy or "salesy" at all. All the items that we purchased arrived in good condition, and are very good quality. We will definitely shop here again.
