Nice place with good service. The price tag for rolls is reasonable and the rolls are good. The shrimp tempura appetizer is nice and crispy without being oily. The nigiri are expensive if you order nice fish. This is probably the most let down in my opinion. They are good but not quite at the standard of the price—mainly because their rice is a bit dry and bland (I’m being picky here because of the price tag, although if you compare to other sushi restaurant in 10 miles radius, this place is still probably at the top of my list).

I love this place very much, I have eaten at too many sushi restaurants, and this one is the best one I have ever eaten in Salt Lake City, and the quality has reached 10 points. The freshness of the fish and the presentation are the best... If you like to eat authentic The Japanese food here is definitely better than any sushi restaurant in Salt Lake City. The boss cooks the food himself and controls the quality very strictly... I will definitely come back, and this store will definitely be a store I will frequent in the future…. And the Serve is great!

Update:

J&C reached out to me and apologized and made up for it. I appreciate their responsible action. I went back for some nigiri, and this time, there was no problem. We enjoyed our experience. The No. 1 Toro was amazing. I usually like salmon more than tuna, but their Toro really stood out. I'll be back and recommend everyone to get the Toro!

I was eating the salmon belly nigiri and felt something poking my mouth and found a piece of pin bone... The salmon belly and other sashimi tasted good, but I was very shocked this happened. This was the first time I've ever found pin bone in sashimi in all the Japanese restaurants I've been. I heard great things about J&C from my friends, but I was disappointed.

I've never eaten such delicious eel dong in Utah. It costs $21, so it's a little expensive for lunch,

but I recommend it
if it's a day when I have to eat a full meal and work with a higher stamina.
Because eel is good for the stamina.

My friend are ordered a roll with spicy, and the quality was good, and the fresh fish were very good. They were professional chefs! 👍

Add.
I had some super fresh bluefin Tuna there, which I recently revisited. The quality and taste was a waste of what I paid for. If you want to eat Tuna, make sure you eat it here!!!

Adding this to my list of best restaurants in Utah!! This is definitely a hidden gem and I'm so glad I found it. Their menu options are extensive and have some of the sushi items I have been wanting, but couldn't find in Utah. The fish they use is incredibly fresh and tender. The service was friendly and fast, and the dessert was also a highlight of my visit. I will definitely be coming back soon!

This place is the hidden gem! They serve the best sashimi you can find in Utah. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, multiple food choices if you’re not in mood for sushi. Their Chinese food is also done well.

J&C House is a new sushi house in town🎉

I love their fresh sashimi and got to learn that they use bluefin tuna and their fish are all airlifted from Japan🍣 Might be the best Umi I’ve ever had so smooth and creamy, not fishy at all.

The ambiance is cozy and welcoming yet sophisticated. Their menu offer a wide array of sushi, nigiri, and sashimi with reasonable prices. Beautifully presented dishes💕 Exceptional service as well!

We live close by and we love to stop by for a quick sushi. Their sashimi was super fresh and the price was quite good comparing to other restaurants. We did order the deluxe sashimi combo. The chef made it too pretty to eat. Sushi was great as well. Definitely be back!
