We spent nearly a year searching for the perfect brown couch and finally found one at La-Z-Boy. We spent over $4,000, but unfortunately, the couch we received was defective in multiple areas—something both La-Z-Boy and their inspection technician acknowledged. The cushions were underfilled, lumpy and started becoming misshapen almost immediately.

They offered us a store credit for our pre-tax purchase price, which we were initially happy with. When we went into the store to select a replacement, we learned that the company discontinued our fabric and does not have any similar brown fabrics available at the same price. They have effectively given us an ultimatum: choose a completely different fabric in a different colour and texture (none of which we like) or pay nearly $2,000 more out of pocket for something cosmetically similar to our current brown couch.

Their idea of "customer service" is making the customer pay for their mistakes. They refuse to issue a refund for their defective product, even though they cannot offer a suitable replacement. To make matters worse, their store manager (Jaxon) even suggested we use our credit on tables, chairs, or lamps—as if that’s an acceptable alternative to the couch we purchased.

We have tried to resolve this issue professionally, but La-Z-Boy has made it clear that they do not stand behind their products or their customers. We are now escalating our complaint to consumer protection agencies.

If you value your hard-earned money, DO NOT SHOP HERE. La-Z-Boy sells overpriced furniture with subpar quality and refuses to take responsibility when things go wrong. Buyer beware!

My husband and I went to La-Z Boy to look for a glider recliner and we were so happy with the options and quality of products offered! We met Nicole Durocher who was super helpful with the entire process, from showing us models that would work for us to completing the paperwork associated. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for furniture as the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and will give you the space to shop comfortably. We will definitely be back!

This was the least friendly retail experience I’ve had. My sales person not once informed me of when my delivery was coming. I had to email him.
They only take CASH! Did others know this?
You have to e transfer funds (50%) when you order and the other 50 percent before they will deliver. This is bullshit!

When the chair finally came in the sales person does not call he emails me. The chair is here! Send the funds! Omg!

Do not but from this store. For 4000 chair you would hope the experience was much friendlier. I do not recommend!!!!

In late November 2024, my wife and I had the pleasure of having Nicole Durocher (sales consultant with La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Decor at 40 YMCA Drive St Catharines), assist us with finding and purchasing our new leather reclining couch and matching chair. It was "great" to have a sales person who didn't give us the "usual high sales pitch". She gave us space, listen to our wants and provided a number of suggestions for our consideration. There was no pressure. She was very pleasant, easy to talk to, she listened to our wants. We would recommend all customers to ask for Nicole Durocher for your La-Z-Boy needs!

I recently was in need of a lazy boy recliner after having leg surgery, needed an in stock one for immediate pick up. I called and spoke with Steve, explained I couldn’t come into the location and he promptly sent be photos and details of 3 electric chairs to choose from! The next day I had a fabulous quality floor model picked up and have been enjoying the comforts of it! Thank you again for your excellent service and help with loading it in the truck! I’ll be in when I’m up and moving!

I took my elderly father into the Lazy Boy store in St. Catharines yesterday and we had a great experience. We were looking for a recliner for him and Nicole was very helpful and knowledgeable. She showed us several options and took our tight budget into consideration. We purchased a chair and the delivery is pretty quick. Highly recommend this store and Nicole.
