My first time visiting this restaurant was for my godmothers birthday party celebration on 11/24. Immediately after the entire party had been seated the manager on duty approached the table, welcomed us wish a happy birthday to my godmother, and informed us that if it was anything he could do to let him know. Our server was amazing and the food was awesome. The honey butter cornbread was delicious, The fried catfish and grits was phenomenal because the grits were thick and I added crab meat that made the dish even more mouthwatering. The table tried the fried tomatoes as an appetizer, and they were nice and crispy. The fried calamari was wonderful as well, In addition, we tried the spinach dip, add crab meat, which I wasn’t a huge fan over because of the consistency of the dish. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, the French toast was amazing and a definite “get again” and the lamb chops were to die for. The sauce that the lamb chops were drizzled in was finger licking good! The only reason I gave the restaurant of four was simply because of the Spinach dip, and one of the assistant chefs whose job was to stand at the window of the kitchen and garnish plates used his gloves covered hand to wipe his face and do other not sanitary actions. Even after I brought this to the attention of our server and asked her to speak to the assistant chef about the unsanitary actions he was displaying I don’t recall anything being done. Nevertheless, there is another location located in Baltimore, Maryland, that I will be trying out very soon.

Kendyl was our host and she was amazing! I felt extremely welcomed! The food was fresh and delicious and it came out quickly! The bottomless mimosas were also really good! The restaurant was beautiful and the music selection was also good! I cannot wait to revisit this restaurant! I am from out of town and this will now be a staple restaurant for me to eat at when I am in the area!!

I love this place so much! From the moment I walked in the door, I was instantly greeted by the staff. We went on a weekday… And without reservation, we were able to be seated immediately. The server was very polite and provided us with the best recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be going back to the location!

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The host, Sadeqwa, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, suggesting some fantastic dishes. For appetizers, I tried the Bayou Rolls with shrimp and beef, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked.

The menu was full of tempting options, and after discussing the top sellers and signature dishes with Sadeqwa, I decided on the catfish and grits for my entrée. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left me completely satisfied—so much so that I joked about needing a bed in the back to take a nap after the meal!

The only feedback I have is that the jambalaya cream sauce that was with the catfish and grits was not hot. It was a little cold compared to the rest of the food

However, between the exceptional service and the incredible food, this place has won me over. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal with friendly service.

The customer service is impeccable. Our server and the manager were both very polite and kind. We told the server that the chicken, the seafood pasta and the crab fries were way too salty. The manager applied credit and offered us dessert. The brownie with ice cream was very good! Pineapple mock tail was very good! I had the snapper and spinach, really good.
The stuff shrimp definitely one of the best I have had. Overall B+ !! The ambience , customer service and atmosphere were A+

From Columbia, SC I flew straight into a date night with my Babe. He made reservations at Miss Toya's Southern Kitchen in Laurel, MD..... and boy am I happy he chose this location.

I ordered fried snapper with seafood fried rice, and broccolini. My babe ordered shrimp and grits.

I must say the sauce for the snapper and everything else was so delicious I wanted to meet Miss Toya myself. A different flavor radiated from each item.

From walking into the door to be seated by Ethan to the service provided by Lawren, Sherwin, and Nah were all top notch. My babe doesn't like to do reviews so this is five star review is for both of us.

The drinks were top notch as well.

We will be sharing our experience with family and friends.

I ordered the lamp chops, fried rice, and spinach, and everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, and each dish was seasoned to perfection; not salty. I was a bit disappointed to find that the sweet potato casserole is no longer on the menu–it was one of my favorites–but the entree and small plates more than made up for it. If it's your first time dining here, I highly recommend trying the grilled honey bourbon wings–they're a must have.
