I grew up skating here and this rink has a special place in my heart. I don’t live in town and visited the area and wanted to go skating. I needed some tights and wanted my husband to try on a pair of skates. We had to make a special trip to the pro shop as they aren’t open during public skate time. They didn’t have anything in either of our sizes. I asked the employee working if they could order things in our sizes and help my husband figure out what size skate he needed to order. The staff member told me to go online and then pointed at the sizer and said we could figure out his size ourselves. Really disappointed as I wanted to support the local rink.

It's an OK place for skating but not good for beginners really. They don't have any of the walker things for beginners. They have quite a few people who go all the time and have their own skates who fly round and intimidate the beginners who are trying to make it round the edge.

They rent the skates and they're fairly typical house skates. Not super comfortable but maybe skates never are.

Seems they do food there and have a bar but we didn't try either.

Really nice ice rink. Friendly polite staff, tons of parking, easy to get to and clean feeling. Small place to grab food inside, and tons of seating on upper and lower deck. Certainly much nicer than other skate locations in the Charlotte areas. Highly recommend.

This was my first visit to the Ice House. It appears to be a hip, popular place for pre-teens/teens/young adults to hang out. Loved the music and neon lights, cool vibe and literally cool ❄️ bring a flannel/sweater.

The ice rink is fun and enjoyable, but I think they should lower the prices for people who bring their own skates. Because 15 dollars is a lot for bringing in your own skates, which we have paid for and I believe it should not cost us as much.

Stopped in to get my new Bauer Vapor skates baked so that they could fit better. Alli, the manager was super helpful in explaining the process and getting me squared away with the fitting of these new skates.

This establishment is my preferred location over the other rink in Charlotte. Mainly because of the exceptional staff they have of Nick Lauren and Alli as well as the other staff members working here. I highly recommend asking for any of those 3 PIH associates as they will steer you in the right direction for sure.

The staff is happy, helpful and knowledgeable. Most of all, our kids love it.
Otherwise it's a pretty basic stating rink. Good beer at the bar, and standard sports food offering. It's not super fancy but we keep coming back with a smile and it seems to be a bustling business.
