Kate was the seamstress for my wedding. She came from the recommendation of CKS. And wow, was she worth every single penny and more. Kate was an absolute god send. Kate and I met many times prior to the wedding, I tried my dress on multiple times and by the time of the wedding felt so comfortable in it already. Kate spent hours and hours doing alterations to my dress so it was perfect for me. She made me feel like I was perfect exactly as I was, and that I was enhancing the dress, not the other way around. Kate is clearly a very experienced and technically skilled seamstress, who knows exactly what she is doing. Not only did she alter my dress but she also, altered all my bridesmaids dresses (including adding boning, and sleeves), totally transformed my flower girls dress, colour matched my flower girl baskets, covered my flower girl cart pillow and made my mum fall in love with the outfit she really “wasn’t sure about”. Kate altered my mum’s dress so much, but adding beads, sparkles, new material, matching and enhancing the hat - that by the time she was finished the dress just screamed my mum’s name. In fact, at the wedding people said to her “I don’t know how to describe it, the dress was just you”, now, there really was no bigger compliment. My mum felt beautiful in her dress and knew for sure no one would have the same dress on (which was a worry of hers). Kate delivered all the dresses the day before the wedding and made sure everyone was happy with their fits, even offering to do any alterations that night if needed! (Thankfully, as expected, everything was perfect!). As another service Kate offers, she can come back the day of the wedding to get everyone into their dresses and be there in case of any mishaps. She was worth every penny, running around helping everyone, getting prosecco out of a bridesmaids dress, taping the MOG into her dress to ensure she felt fully comfortable and finally putting me into my dress so that every bit of skin was exactly where it was meant to be. I felt so comfortable and confident in Kate’s ability, company and in my dress. And I honestly can’t thank her enough. An incredible seamstress and an incredible person, who was a big part of my wedding journey.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nikki and Kate on a very special project—transforming my grandmother’s handwoven wool fabric into beautiful, lasting cushions. Nikki and Kate were incredible; their expertise, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire process so enjoyable. Their knowledge and guidance were invaluable in working with such a unique, heavy fabric, and the final cushions are just perfect. I’m beyond pleased with how they’ve turned out—it’s a lovely way to keep my grandmother's memory close. Highly recommend Nikki and Kate for anyone looking for skilled, thoughtful craftsmanship!

Kathryn worked wonders and went above and beyond to alter my wedding dress to not only fit me perfectly but have my own personal touch to it. No one could tell the dress had been completely changed and everyone commented how beautiful it was. She made my special day less stressful and I couldn't recommend her enough.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Kathryn who was nothing short of amazing. She helped me and my bridesmaids for my wedding and I couldn't be more appreciative of her. She took us on only a couple of months before the big day and worked absolute wonders for us all. She also eneded up receiving an SOS call a few weeks later for my sister who was again a bridesmaid and had terrible alterations done with another woman. But again Kathryn to the rescue and she done another amazing job. She really is the best. Thank you Kathryn! Xx

I took a bridesmaid dress here to be altered as it was too small at the back. They did a fantastic job and were super friendly, responsive and very reasonably priced. Definitely will be back!
