Went it an hour before closing. They were running a deafeningly loud and disgusting gas smelling floor buffer the entire time we were in the store, going up and down the isles, and they didnt even try to avoid us. It was impossible to shop. we left with almost nothing in hand because we just couldn't stand being there any longer. if this was my store those employees would be fired instantly. we will never return.

Was at the store on Feb 11, 2025 for a passport photo, was told to bring reciept back if Passport Canada didn't accept for a free replacement photo. Passport Canada called me and said they photo were to blurry so could not be used. Went yesterday to get the replacement with my receipt and was told by the manager (who was rude and extremely ignorant) "nope go to Service Canada and get a note then come back for free replacement", I had the receipt and it was after 5pm so Service Canada was closed and I live out of town so it was a special trip back to get this done. I paid for a second photo instead because she would not do the replacement.
That is illegal in Canada, as it is false advertizing! I was told bring receipt which I did then told to jump through hoops to get the replacement, and again at check out was given the same promise that Shoppers gaurentees the photo or a free replacement with the receipt.

The manager should be fired for her ignorance. I should be mailed a cheque for the replacement Passport Photo that I had to pay for again.
I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau as it is Illegal to false advertize in Canada.

I have gone here occasionally over the last couple of years since moving into the area. My wife is an avid shopper and really likes the company brand. I however find this location as with most businesses in the town to be chronically understaffed and the people who are on shift when I attend to be disinterested. The imposing bank of self scanners at the front are an affront to human contact. And good luck finding an actual staffer to attend the cash for things like lottery tickets and the like.
The straw that broke the camels back so to speak was the high school aged male that I asked to check my lotto tickets and ring in my purchases. He was the typical type in these parts, unkept appearance and hygiene, barely audible and no eye contact. He had to ask for assistance to even operate the lotto scan after I had to tell him twice that I wanted to check the numbers. This was no big issue until he turned around and causally flopped the tickets and my receipt on the counter and without so much as even a "Have a nice day." or a "Thanks for shopping at SDM" etc. strolled away from the counter like he was browsing in a mall. I realize these are first-world problems but if this is all I can expect when having to shell out ever more increasing costs for goods then why go here? Some other locally owned store will be more than happy to take my cash and respond in an adult neighbourly way.

Why does a person have to wait for a pharmacist to buy kleenex? or something else not pharmacy related? Store did not open its doors because there was no pharmacist ............in my opinion ridiculous

Even I would like to give 0 zero rating about photo shop in drug mart, my wife went there twice for pr renewal photo and quality of photo is very poor and it’s not acceptable. Please don’t waste ur money

I am writing this while I've been on hold to speak to a pharmacist for the past 30+ minutes. I have received different information from pharmacy staff about my prescription and booking an appointment and have had to come back 3x in one week to be told each time that they do not have time to help me. I am getting frustrated with the confusing service and lack of attention when my request is time sensitive. Hoping to be off of hold any time now...

I exclusively patronize Shoppers for my cologne purchases due to their generally reasonable pricing and occasional advantageous sales.
