While the in-store experience was much like any other furniture store, the after purchase experience is not great. My elderly parents bought a coffee table, two matching end tables, and two easy chairs for their new apartment in early February.

During installation, the tape pulled off some of the finish on one of the end tables. I called them shortly after that and my father sent in photographs that they had requested. Still nothing. He called them again and was told that they don't have the same tables and we will have to wait until they're in stock.

Then, last week, as I was sitting in one of the chairs, I noticed that the upper corner of the coffee table had been damaged. It would be difficult to see, as that side of the table faces the TV and they sit on a couch on the other side of the table. I took a photo showing where it's damaged.

As for the chairs, the actual cushions that you sit on lift up from the back, so you're on an angle when you're sitting on either one of the chairs. This was not the case when we sat on the floor models in the showroom. These chairs are not only uncomfortable, but it's frustrating having both of the seat cushions go up at the back of the chair pushing you forward.

My parents take meticulous care of their furnishings and these items are just poorly manufactured.

It's a beautiful store, with plentiful displays, but I can't say I'd recommend the store to anyone and I know that we won't be returning.

We were looking for new living room furniture and wanted to support a Canadian business selling Canadian made products. It was our first visit to Tepperman's and we were helped by Theresa Jacobs in selecting a couch for a living room with some size and layout constraints. Theresa also had another associate (Amanda) assist with the design and layout. Amanda's input and suggestions made the selection process easy as well.
The delivery process was simple, efficient and professional. They provided a window for delivery and adhered to it. Everything in the entire process was handled with care and professionalism from start to finish. We had even come back and purchased additional pieces of furniture.
In addition to the service we received. The look, comfort and quality of the item(s) we purchased are exceptional. We are very happy choosing Tepperman's and will continue to consider them for future needs.
If you want to support local business and buy Canadian and shop Canadian...Tepperman's is a great option.

We saw a coffee table on display at the store, and we loved it, so we purchased it. When we picked it up at store and put it together, it was a completely different table. The colour was completely different. We called customer service, and we sent them photos of the table on display and the one we received. Ali from customer service was very unhelpful over the phone, he said there’s no resolution and the table we received is the same. After many phone calls and visits to the store, they offered to exchange our table with no restock fee. The new table was also different colour than the display. So we offered to take the display table because we liked it and that what we thought we were getting originally, which they agreed to. The display table had scratches, and we asked for a discount. We were told by Rob the manager that he can’t give us a discount because the price we bought it at is the price they buy it from the manufacturer company. He did not offer anything else or offer to help by calling customer service to ask for a discount for us, since we were grabbing a scratched display table. It was very upsetting and after voiced concerns he offered a refund, which we took. In the future, I recommend this company be honest about products on display and products customers receive. Photos of the display table (lighter colour) and delivered table (dark colour) are attached. Will definitely not be purchasing from them in the future.

I love the Tepperman’s experience! It was exactly what I had hoped for as a young shopper in a major retail furniture store. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and didn’t hard sell me on anything. They were just very authentic and listened to my needs! I had Theresa help me out as well as Marco who actually owned the couch I was interested in. They managed to work with my budget, educate me on how everything worked (financing, delivery, what happens if I get a stain) and many other things I didn’t even know I needed to know! I am a picky shopper and wait weeks to make a big purchase, but the price to value ratio was the best for what I have been looking at on the market. I’m very grateful for the customer experience, value for money, quality, and the friendliness! I have to wait maybe 2 weeks for my couch which is also very good considering other companies estimated a month or two. 10/10 would recommend. 🥹🥰✨

DO NOT PAY EXTRA for Tepperman's installation service! I am extremely disappointed with this service that Tepperman's offers and would strongly recommend that you save your money and assemble your new furniture yourself! We paid extra for this service expecting professional and careful work, but instead, not only did the delivery team damage the furniture during the assembly but they also put it together incorrectly, causing additional damage to the bed and leaving parts misaligned and unstable.

Shortly after the assembly team left we noticed our son's bed was damaged and incorrectly set up. (Images 1 & 2) We contacted customer care and they reimbursed the set-up fee. We lived with it for a while until I had the time to fix the error myself this past weekend. (Image #3) But it wasn't until we lifted the mattress and box spring that we fully realized the rush and haphazard fashion in which it was put together. The bolts holding the side rails were loose causing the head and footboards to wiggle. (Image #4) Also, the support slats underneath the box spring were installed crooked, as in not square and snug against the side rails, which resulted in the screws being misaligned and barely grabbing enough wood to hold them in place. (Images 5 & 6)

For the additional fee Tepperman's charged, I expected far better quality and care, instead of leaving us with poorly assembled and damaged furniture and the frustration of having to fix these issues on our own.

* UPDATE: Spoke to the customer care team at the phone number provided by the respondent below. Tepperman's refused to replace the damaged bed or even just the damaged parts. They did refund the set-up fee as indicated above, but would not make this right by replacing the damage caused by their installation team and not taking ownership of this damaged product that we now have to live with. My review still stands! * DO NOT PAY EXTRA* for Tepperman's installation service! 👎

This is what they sell, damaged and missing parts in products. Ordered office desk and chair. Both are not good. Desk is having part missing and downgraded quality whereas part of office chair is broken. Just opened the delivered product. This is what we get after a wait of long delivery time. Never buy products from them. They are just looting you and taking advantage of you and your hard earned money. Pathetic customer service as well, they don’t know what they are doing.
