Great breakfast menu with fresh food cooked to order. I had the corned beef hash skillet with eggs over-easy. Hash is homemade and is delicious, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. They serve Lavazza coffee with real cream in a small pitcher. Not that fake stuff in the plastic cup with a foil top that never spoils.
The staff is professional, courteous, and attentive. Definitely will go back, and can confidently recommend you try this gem. You won't be disappointed.

We were looking for a good spot for a hearty lunch to get us through our busy day. The Hen House did not disappoint. We all enjoyed our meals. We love that they have regular specials and seasonal menu items.

There are a ton of breakfast places in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Naperville. We really are spoiled with choice...this is a place you shouldn't miss.

The menu here is varied and has a lot of non typical options as well as the old standards. Coffee is good and served with real cream, not the fake chemical pods left on the table for years.

It is clean and bright inside and service is fast and attentive. But the real reason this place gets five stars from me is the yiayia, who I assume to be the owner, walking through the dining room and carefully watching all the customers to make sure everyone has what they need. If you even move your hand towards your coffee cup, she asks, "you need more coffee?" It makes the experience seem like you're dining in her house vs another same old same old breakfast place. There aren't many family owned places like this anymore. Hope to see you there for a long time yiayia!! You make the place!

Patio is 11/10. Lovely breakfast with a ton of leftovers. Best cappuccino I've had in ages, not watered down. French toast is like 2" thick! And not overly sweet. Can't wait to go back.

It was my first visit and I'll definitely be back. The menu has so many delicious sounding and interesting dishes. I had an avocado toast with steak, which I have to say I haven't seen such a pairing anywhere else. The cut of steak was high quality and excellently prepared. The potatoes were fine; nothing to write home about.

I had a delicious breakfast (for lunch) at Hen House, with pancakes, eggs and fruit. The serving of pancakes was very large, the coffee was good and the fruit was fresh and delicious. My brother had an excellent and very rich/dessert-y french toast dish that he really enjoyed.

It's been a while since I wrote my last review here, so it's probably time to update it! 5 years later, Hen House is STILL one of my favorite breakfast places! They have such an amazing menu- I love the wide variety of pancake/French toast/waffle creations (my go-to is the oreo pancakes, but I've never had a specialty sweet-breakfast food here that I didn't love). Their "regular" breakfast menu is excellent, the food is all kind of a twist on standard breakfast foods, so it stands out from other restaurants. They also have specials that change often, so it is always an adventure. The owner is very nice, and staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be an issue (if I really dig for one) is that they're so popular. The dining area is usually packed which can make the acoustics hard for conversation, and slightly slows service. I usually go on weekdays, after the breakfast rush ends, so that avoids the worst of the rush. I can't fault a restaurant for being too popular though! I hope they're here for years to come!
