I am a true believer in shopping local and have enjoyed this store for 10 years, the owner is a lovely lady but unfortunately ridged in her return policy. Two days ago I purchased a set of two linen white pillow shams for a total of 55.98. Exchange policy is refunds and exchanges up to 30 days.
On trying to return product both clerk and owner opened up claiming they were not clean enough and had small hair and fluff on them. All I did was take them out of the bag hold them to my quilt and determine they were not the right colour. All who know me know I have a well organized and clean home. The pieces they picked off these brand new pillow shams were microscopic, we are talking minimal specks that could have come from packaging and general environment.
I wish I could post phots because I just laid them in the sun and taken pictures to send to the BBB
And it’s ridiculous what they were saying. At on point we were leaning over the shams and a small speck was visible, I picked it of to which the owner said “ look your literally pulling stuff off them”
The owner will have her story about customers that have returned things unclean but I swear these were clean, unused and because they are white showed every speck.
Do not buy here unless you are certain, clearly the owner is not flexible and unfortunately did not have the foresight to recognize how insulting and also unwise it was not to show some flexibility.
I have recommended the store to friends, every visitor I have to the island is given a tour of GOTR
And shopping is encouraged. I am often asked about clothing or jewelry from the store and will recommend. In 10 years I have never made a return and now the tale is I will never return and will advise friends, family and coworkers that Zolena may be a fun place to shop but spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else.
BTW the owner is now going to post her return policy, a bit of a scam because it sounds as if I actually dragged my pillows through dirt or used them but I swear the specks of stuff they picked off were minuscule and could have come from the atmosphere. The owner has a science degree thought and probably knows better.
BYER BEWARE forget local in this case

Absolutely love this store! Such interesting treasures! Indian fabrics, clothes, bangles, gift cards etc. ..all kinds of interesting "must haves". really different and plentiful inventory. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. I recently bought a package of temporary metallic tattoos that are so easy to use and so beautiful. I go to Coombs Market every year mainly to go to this store!! Love it

Cute store with a nice selection of plants in their small nursery. We bought some lavender, peppers and oregano plants from them a few months ago and they’re still doing well. Though I can’t specifically comment on the items in their boutique, at a glance they had some beautiful pieces.

Gorgeous gallery type store and smells sooo good inside. Outdoor patio with lots and lots of veggie starters for sale. Sparkling clean and spacious. Fabulous low prices. A pleasure to shop here, thank you

THE SOFTEST LINEN I have ever felt!!! Makes my other linens seem like a waste of money. I have some other linen from etsy and other places. Its soooo softttttttt. They've nailed their supplier.

It's too bad its sewn in China though 🙁
